Who is Network
Management Group, Inc. (NMGI)?
- What is
DoubleCheck?
DoubleCheck is an email gateway appliance
product or service that improves productivity
and security by filtering spam, stopping viruses
and phishing, filtering content and reporting on
email use. Both inbound and outbound email can
be processed. DoubleCheck is available in tower,
rack or software-only configurations (on 3rd
party hardware) for any user level and traffic.
DoubleCheck is available from select Authorized
Reseller Partners in an ASP/Hosted
configuration.
- How
does it filter spam?
The DoubleCheck Email Manager uses over 800
heuristic rules to read, score and tag spam
based on global, domain-level and user-level
settings. The rules combine with a layered
approach to fighting spam that include real-time
black hole lists (RBL), Bayes Classification,
Automated White Lists and distributed checksum
clearinghouses. DoubleCheck is one of the few
companies worldwide to use the URIBL lists for
improved spam accuracy. Updates are
automatically checked every 30 minutes to two
hours based on configuration. See
Product Data Sheet.
- How
does it block viruses?
The DoubleCheck Email Manager uses McAfee's
anti-virus engine and automatically downloads
and installs updates. Updates are automatically
checked every 30 minutes. Alerts are sent to the
sender and system administrator as desired and
configured. NMGI is an OEM partner of McAfee. See
Product Data Sheet.
- How does it
save me money?
DoubleCheck saves money by reducing the time
users waste deleting spam and repairing damage
from viruses. Administrative time is saved
installing, configuring and maintaining desktop
software to manage spam. DoubleCheck is
typically installed at a lower cost and higher
price/performance level than solutions from
other vendors and comes with a configurable
real-time Cost Savings Calculator.
- How
many users and email
messages can it support?
DoubleCheck's default configuration supports
1,250 messages per hour (tower appliance) or
2,000 messages per hour (rack appliance). These
are average traffic numbers for good email
reaching the queue and do not count deleted
spam. DoubleCheck is targeted at small and
mid-sized businesses, but can easily scale to
meet the needs of larger organizations.
DoubleCheck Email Managers are currently
operating in enterprises of over 1,000 users and
in ISPs with over 30,000 users. See
Product Data Sheet.
- What
reporting does it offer?
DoubleCheck offers extensive reporting based on
spam, viruses, email and system traffic logs.
New reports include the Management Report, Quick
Reports, Overall Report, configurable charts
(pie, bar and line), user reports and log
reports by system, domain and user. See
